T.A.L.A. Kennels & Outfitters trains all breeds, specializing in pointers and retrievers. Our training facility operates 7 days a week year round. We produce a high quality gun dog and a field-trial dog that will perform to a high standard of excellence. Along with training gun dogs and field-trial dogs, we also provide obedience training for all breeds. In order to make this happen we work our dogs five days a week and take no shortcuts. We demand a lot from our dogs but do not abuse or push the dog beyond its ability. Dogs are worked to their full potential and we let the customer know what we think the potential of their animals is. We give the dog and owner all we have in an effort to produce a relationship that will be both productive and satisfying.                                                                                                                        

• Cost of all training $400.00 a month

• General obedience work for all breeds includes sit, stay, heel and come
  (This takes one month)

• It takes two months to train a gun or field-trial dog from start to finish
  (3 weeks on obedience and 5 weeks on birds)

• Dogs learn to turn, stay, come, and be steady on their birds

• If not a natural retriever, it takes a full month to force break to retrieve.
  Force break to retrieve $450.00

• Dogs are individually penned in concrete floored kennels that are cleaned 3 or more times a day. Dogs are fed a good quality dog food (Comet Label)

• Water-fowl dogs take 3-5 months to complete and includes sit, stay, heel, blind retrieve, and doubles.
